Matt Hobby

Matt Hobby is an American actor and comedian known for his roles in various television series. He made his acting debut in 2008 in the direct-to-DVD film The Cult of Sincerity. Hobby has appeared in popular shows like Mom, Don't Trust the B**** in Apartment 23, Onion SportsDome, and Fresh Off the Boat. He portrayed Rudy Truitt in Hart of Dixie for ten episodes and played Philip, a servant/butler, in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire. Hobby gained recognition for his portrayal of Pastor Jeff Difford in the CBS series Young Sheldon, initially as a recurring character and later as a main cast member. In real life, his wife Mary Grill plays his character's spouse on the show.
