Matt Iseman

Matt Iseman (born January 22, 1971) is an American comedian, actor, and television host. He is best known for his role as the play-by-play announcer and moderator of the popular TV show American Ninja Warrior. Iseman started his career as a physician, following in the footsteps of his father. He earned a B.A. with honors from Princeton University and an M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. After completing his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado Hospital, he moved to Los Angeles. Iseman began doing stand-up comedy, drawing on his experiences as a doctor. He worked with the improv comedy troupe The Groundlings and has appeared in various TV shows and films.
