Matt Salinger

Matthew Douglas Salinger, born on February 13, 1960, is an American actor known for his appearances in films such as Revenge of the Nerds and Captain America. He was born in Windsor, Vermont, to author J. D. Salinger and psychologist Alison Claire Douglas. Salinger's maternal grandfather was British art critic Robert Langton Douglas, and he has a sister named Margaret Salinger. He graduated from Phillips Academy Andover and later attended Princeton University before earning a degree in art history and drama from Columbia University. Salinger made his film debut in 1984's Revenge of the Nerds and played Captain America in the 1990 film of the same name. He has also appeared in other films like What Dreams May Come and has made guest appearances in TV shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and 24. In addition to his acting career, Salinger has produced several independent films.
