Matthew Currie Holmes is a Canadian actor, screenwriter, producer, and director. Born on May 26, 1974, he has appeared in over 40 film and television projects. Currie Holmes has been a part of Canadian television series such as Godiva's and Edgemont. He has also featured in notable films including Jet Boy (2001), Dawn of the Dead (2004), The Fog (2005), Firewall (2006), and Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007). In 2009, he produced and starred in the short film My Charlotte, which received recognition as an official Cinéfondation selection at the Cannes Film Festival. Currie Holmes has won the Leo award for Best Supporting Performance By A Male in a Dramatic Series in 2005 and received a nomination in 2006. He has also worked as a writer and story editor on various projects, collaborating with renowned individuals in Hollywood and Canada. Currently, he is in development for the action/horror film Demonology, which he co-wrote with David Hayter.
