Matthew Gagnon

Matthew Owen Gagnon (born December 10, 1980) is an American think tank executive, political strategist, and writer from Maine. He is currently the chief executive officer of the Maine Policy Institute, a free market think tank based in Portland. Gagnon previously served as the director of digital strategy for the Republican Governors Association. He is a columnist for the Bangor Daily News, where he has been writing about Maine and national politics since August 2011. Additionally, Gagnon is the host of the morning show on WGAN, Portland's largest talk-radio station. He grew up in Hampden, Maine, and graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in political science.
