Matthew Wyatt Rogers, born on September 16, 1978, is an American television host and country singer. He gained recognition as one of the finalists on the third season of the reality/talent-search show American Idol. Following his time on American Idol, Rogers transitioned into television hosting, appearing on shows like Really Big Things and There Goes the Neighborhood. Rogers is a native of Rancho Cucamonga, California, and attended Sierra Vista Middle School and South Hills High School in California, where he played football. He continued his football career at the University of Washington, where he was part of the 2001 Rose Bowl championship team. Since American Idol, Rogers has worked as a co-host on American Idol Extra and as a correspondent on various sports and entertainment shows.
