Matthew Settle is an American actor known for his roles in various movies and TV shows. He was born on September 17, 1969, in Hickory, North Carolina. Settle gained recognition for his portrayal of Captain Ronald Speirs in the 2001 HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. He also played the character Rufus Humphrey in the CW teen drama series Gossip Girl from 2007 to 2012. Settle made his Broadway debut in the musical Chicago: The Musical in 2010, where he played the role of Billy Flynn. His feature film debut was in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. Settle has also made guest appearances on shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
