Maulik Pancholy Biography
Maulik Navin Pancholy (born January 18, 1974) is an American actor and author. He is known for his roles as Jonathan on 30 Rock, Baljeet Tjinder in Phineas and Ferb, Neal in the first season of Whitney, and as Sanjay Patel in both Weeds and Sanjay and Craig. Pancholy is also an author, with his debut novel, The Best at It, exploring the journey of a gay, Indian American boy. In 2022, he released Nikhil Out Loud, a story about eighth-grade theater kids fighting against homophobia. Pancholy was born in Dayton, Ohio, and grew up in various states before settling in Tampa, Florida. He graduated from Berkeley Preparatory School in 1991.
