Maurice Godin
Maurice Godin, born on 21 October 1932 in Montreal, Quebec, is a Canadian politician and former member of the House of Commons of Canada. He served as a member of Parliament from 1993 to 2000, representing the Châteauguay electoral district under the Bloc Québécois party. Prior to his political career, Godin worked as a manager. Known for his long-standing support for Quebec independence, he held a Laurentian Alliance membership card. Godin was elected in the 1993 and 1997 federal elections, serving in the 35th and 36th Canadian Parliaments. After completing his second term, he chose not to seek re-election and retired from Canadian politics in 2000.
