Max Wright Biography
Max Wright (August 2, 1943 – June 26, 2019) was an American actor best known for his role as Willie Tanner on the sitcom ALF (1986–1990). Born as George Edward Wright in Detroit, Michigan, he adopted the nickname 'Max' to avoid confusion with other actors. Wright attended Southfield Senior High School where he actively participated in the theater program and had leading roles in musical productions. Throughout his career, he appeared in various television shows including WKRP in Cincinnati, Misfits of Science, AfterMASH, Buffalo Bill, The Norm Show, and Friends. He also had roles in the made-for-TV adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand and the HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon.
