Maya Kazan (born November 24, 1986) is an American actress known for her role as Eleanor Gallinger in the television series The Knick (2014–2015). She comes from a family with a strong background in the entertainment industry, being the daughter of screenwriters Nicholas Kazan and Robin Swicord, and the granddaughter of film director Elia Kazan and playwright Molly Kazan. Maya's sister is actress Zoe Kazan. Maya has also showcased her talent on stage, starring in productions such as Pierre Corneille's The Liar, Michael Rabe's The Future Is Not What It Was, and William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale. Critics have praised her natural radiance, unassuming intelligence, and gentleness in her performances.
