McKinley Freeman (born June 9, 1973) is an American actor and producer known for his roles in films and television series. He gained recognition for his starring role as Derek Roman in the drama series 'Hit the Floor' and for portraying Dominic in the drama TV series 'Queen Sugar' on OWN. Freeman has also appeared as Lewis in Hulu's 'Reasonable Doubt.' Prior to pursuing acting, he earned a BS in finance at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and worked as a Business Development Manager at IBM. Freeman made his acting debut on the soap opera 'All My Children' and went on to make appearances on various shows including 'ER,' 'CSI: Miami,' and 'Criminal Minds.' He has also worked on comedy film 'Delta Farce' and played Tony Dane on ABC's series 'Samantha Who?'
