Meg Johnson

Meg Johnson is an American poet and lecturer, known for her engaging and vivid poetry. Her work has been featured in various literary magazines, such as Midwestern Gothic, Slipstream Magazine, Word Riot, and Hobart. In 2014, she released her debut collection of poems, titled Inappropriate Sleepover, followed by The Crimes of Clara Turlington in December 2015. Her upcoming book, Without: Body, Name, Country, is set to be released in September 2020. In addition to her writing, Johnson is the current editor of the Dressing Room Poetry Journal. Born and raised in Ames, Iowa, Johnson's passion for dance led her to study at the Iowa State University dance department and later at Columbia College Chicago and the University of Iowa. She went on to have a successful professional career as a principal dancer at the Kanopy Dance Company based in Madison, Wisconsin.
