Megan Follows is a Canadian-American actress and director, born on March 14, 1968. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Anne Shirley in the 1985 Canadian television miniseries Anne of Green Gables and its sequels. Follows played the role of Catherine de' Medici, Queen of France, in the television drama series Reign from 2013 to 2017. She hails from an acting family, with her father being Canadian theatre actor and director Ted Follows, and her mother being Canadian actress Dawn Greenhalgh. Megan has three siblings, all involved in the entertainment industry. Her first acting job was in a Bell Canada commercial at the age of nine.
