Megan Washington

Megan Alexanda Washington, known professionally as Washington, is an Australian musician and songwriter. She was born on January 7, 1986, in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Washington began her musical journey in jazz but later transitioned to indie pop and alternative rock. She has released three studio albums: 'I Believe You Liar' (2010), 'There There' (2014), and 'Batflowers' (2020). Her albums 'I Believe You Liar' and 'There There' both reached the top 5 on the ARIA Albums Chart, while 'Batflowers' peaked in the top 25. Washington has been recognized with three ARIA Music Awards, including Best Female Artist and Breakthrough Artist - Release in 2010, and Best Cover Art in 2020 for 'Batflowers'.
