Mel Gibson

Mel Columcille Gerard Gibson is an American actor, film director, and producer. He was born on January 3, 1956, in Peekskill, New York. Gibson is best known for his action hero roles, including Max Rockatansky in the Mad Max series and Martin Riggs in the Lethal Weapon films. At the age of 12, he moved with his parents to Sydney, Australia, where he later studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art. Gibson founded Icon Entertainment, an independent production company, in the 1980s. He has received critical acclaim for his roles in films like Gallipoli (1981) and has earned numerous awards throughout his career.
