Mel Giedroyc

Melanie Clare Sophie Giedroyc is an English actress, comedian, and television presenter. She is best known for co-hosting various series alongside Sue Perkins, including Light Lunch for Channel 4, The Great British Bake Off for the BBC, and chat show Mel and Sue for ITV. Giedroyc has also co-presented the BBC show Let It Shine. Additionally, she has held several commentating roles for the Eurovision Song Contest since 2015. Giedroyc was born on June 5, 1968, in Epsom, Surrey, and grew up in Leatherhead. She attended Oxford High School and later Trinity College, Cambridge. Giedroyc's father was of Polish-Lithuanian descent, while her mother is of English origin.
