Melanie Fiona Hallim (born July 4, 1982) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She gained recognition as a member of a Canadian girl group trio and was nominated for a Juno Award. Fiona later joined The Renaissance, a group that included rapper Drake, and also recorded reggae songs under the name Syren Hall. In 2009, she released her debut solo album, The Bridge, which featured collaborations with renowned producers and songwriters. Her single 'It Kills Me' became a breakout hit, reaching the Top 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Fiona received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for the song.
