Melanie Paxson, born on September 26, 1972, is an American actress known for her roles in Cupid, Happy Family, and Notes from the Underbelly. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Jaclyn in Cupid, Sara Brennan in Happy Family, and Julie in Notes from the Underbelly. Paxson also appeared in a series of Gladware television commercials in the early 2000s. Paxson was born in Champaign, Illinois and grew up in Mahomet, Illinois. She holds a bachelor's degree in Theatre from the University of Missouri and received acting training at Second City Chicago. Paxson was also involved with 'The Crew on the U' on Chicago's WCIU-TV, where she appeared in promos for the station and as Velma in Scooby-Doo episodes.
