Melika Foroutan

Melika Foroutan is a German-Iranian actress born in 1976 in Tehran. She initially studied Philosophy, English, and History in Cologne before pursuing acting at the University of Arts in Berlin, where she graduated in 2002. Foroutan gained recognition in 2006 with the drama film 'Wut' and as police officer Silvia Henke in the TV show 'KDD - Kriminaldauerdienst'. She received the Best Actress award at the Hessischer Filmpreis in 2015 for her role in 'Louise Boni'. Foroutan also appeared in the title role of 'Pari' at the 70th Filmfest Berlin. As of January 2013, she resided in Berlin.
