Melinda Culea

Melinda Culea (born May 5, 1955) is an American actress. She was born in Western Springs, Illinois and worked as a model before pursuing acting. Culea is best known for her role as Amy Allen in the 1980s hit TV series The A-Team. In the show, she portrayed a newspaper reporter who joined the team for the first season and half of the second season. Despite her character's initial feistiness, Culea's involvement in the team's fights was limited, reportedly due to star George Peppard's dislike of a female lead. Culea asked for her character to add comic relief by getting in the way, but the producers resisted. She was ultimately dropped from the series in 1983.
