Melody Perkins

Melody Perkins (born January 28, 1974) is an American actress, model, and dancer. She is best known for her regular role as Astronema/Karone in Power Rangers in Space, where she portrayed a villainess turned heroine. Perkins was born in Wiesbaden, West Germany and grew up in Sacramento, California. She graduated from Foothill Highschool in 1995 and studied quantitative economics in college. Perkins has a background in dance, having performed with the Sacramento Ballet Company and the Jazz Unlimited Dance Company. Additionally, she has worked as a model, including projects with clients such as Lands' End. Perkins broke into acting during a modeling trip to Europe, appearing in commercials in Italy and France. Her most notable acting role to date is Astronema in Power Rangers in Space.
