Merritt Wever Biography
Merritt Carmen Wever (born August 11, 1980) is an American actress known for her roles in popular TV shows and films. She gained recognition for her portrayal of the upbeat nurse Zoey in the TV series Nurse Jackie from 2009 to 2015. Wever also showcased her talent in the Netflix period miniseries Godless in 2017, where she played an intrepid widow. Her performance earned her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie in 2018. In 2019, she appeared as a detective in the Netflix crime miniseries Unbelievable, for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination. Wever has also appeared in other TV series such as Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, New Girl, and The Walking Dead. Additionally, she has had supporting roles in notable films like Michael Clayton, Birdman, and Marriage Story.
