Merry Anders

Merry Anders (1934–2012) was an American actress known for her appearances in television programs and films from the 1950s to 1972. Born Mary Helen Anderson in Chicago, Anders was of German, Irish, and Swedish descent. After moving to Los Angeles permanently in 1949, she began a modeling career and studied acting at the Ben Bard Playhouse. She was discovered by a talent scout from 20th Century Fox and signed a film contract in 1951. Anders made her debut in the musical Golden Girl. Over the years, she appeared in various small and supporting roles. She retired from acting in 1972.
