Michael Angelis (29 April 1944 – 30 May 2020) was an English actor known for his roles in various television shows and films. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Chrissie Todd in Boys from the Blackstuff and Martin Niarchos in G.B.H. Angelis was also widely recognized as the UK narrator for the British children's series Thomas & Friends from 1991 to 2012. Born in Paddington, London, he was raised in Dingle, Liverpool. He received his training at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. Alongside his television work, Angelis appeared in comedies like The Liver Birds and films such as A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square and No Surrender.
