Michael Bentt (born September 4, 1965) is a British-born American film and television actor, and former professional boxer. He competed from 1989 to 1994, winning the WBO heavyweight title in 1993 by defeating Tommy Morrison. Bentt, of Jamaican heritage, was born in London and raised in Queens, New York City. He had a successful amateur boxing career, winning bronze medals at the 1986 World Championships and 1987 Pan American Games. Bentt holds the record for the shortest professional boxing career of any heavyweight world champion, spanning only 1,867 days. As an actor, he is best known for his roles as Sonny Liston in the film Ali (2001) and Biggis/El Plaga in State Property 2 (2005). He also appeared in the documentary series Losers (2019).
