Michael Cerveris Biography
Michael Cerveris (born November 6, 1960) is an American actor, singer, and guitarist known for his work in stage musicals and plays. He has appeared in various Stephen Sondheim musicals, including Assassins, Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George, Road Show, and Passion. Cerveris received critical acclaim for his role as John Wilkes Booth in Assassins, for which he won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical in 2004. He also won a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 2015 for his performance as Bruce Bechdel in Fun Home. On television, Cerveris is best known for his role as the Observer code-named September in the science fiction series Fringe.
