    Michael Chambers, also known as 'Boogaloo Shrimp,' is an American dancer and actor born on November 13, 1967. He gained fame for his role as 'Turbo' in the popular 1984 film Breakin' and its sequel, Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. Chambers played a significant role in the Hollywood phase of popping, boogaloo, robot dancing, and b-boying. Alongside his Breakin' co-star Adolfo 'Shabba Doo' Quiñones and other dancers from the films, he appeared in music videos for Lionel Richie's 'All Night Long' (1983) and Chaka Khan's 'I Feel for You' (1984). Chambers was born in Wilmington, California, and grew up in a culturally diverse community. His dance style was influenced by the Samoan American dance group Blue City Strutters, whom he saw performing during his junior high years.
