Michael Cognata

Michael Joseph Cognata (born May 5, 1988) is an American actor and record producer hailing from Boston, Massachusetts. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Julian Robbins on NBC's Chicago Fire and Tito on Showtime's Shameless. Cognata's passion for the stage was nurtured during his time at the Boston Arts Academy, where he studied theatre. He made his television debut in 2008 with a national commercial for Subway, and further developed his performing skills with the acclaimed entertainment group ARTiculation. After relocating to New York City and Los Angeles, Cognata secured notable television roles such as Julian Robbins, the brother-in-law of Battalion Chief Wallace Boden on Chicago Fire.
