Michael Cristofer Biography
Michael Cristofer (born January 22, 1945) is an American actor, playwright, and filmmaker. He gained recognition for his playwriting, receiving the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Play for The Shadow Box in 1977. Throughout his career, Cristofer has been involved in both stage and screen work. He began his theatrical career as an actor before transitioning to writing plays. His notable plays include Breaking Up, Ice, Black Angel, The Lady and the Clarinet, and Amazing Grace. In addition to his work in theater, Cristofer has also written screenplays for various films. From 2015 to 2019, he portrayed the character Phillip Price in the television series Mr. Robot.
