Michael Des Barres

Michael Des Barres, born on January 24, 1948, is an English actor and rock singer. He gained recognition for his role as Murdoc in the original MacGyver series, as well as Lenny Stokes in Lois & Clark and Nicholas Helman in the 2016 MacGyver reboot. In addition to his acting career, Des Barres replaced Robert Palmer as the lead singer of the band the Power Station, performing with them at the iconic 1985 Live Aid concert. Des Barres was born and raised in Hove, Sussex, and attended Repton School and the Corona Academy drama school in London. He has French ancestry and is the 26th Marquis Des Barres, with the title bestowed upon his ancestor Guillaume II Des Barres for heroism during the Battle of Bouvines in 1214.
