Michael Ian Black

Michael Ian Black is an American actor, writer, and comedian. He is known for his roles in several TV comedy series including The State, Viva Variety, Stella, and Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. He has also appeared on Celebrity Poker Showdown. In addition to his acting career, Black is a prolific author, having written several children's books and four books for adults. Born on August 12, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois, Black grew up in Hillsborough Township, New Jersey. He attended Hillsborough High School. Black's parents divorced when he was three years old, and his mother later came out as a lesbian. He has a Jewish background.
