Michael K. Lee Biography
Michael K. Lee (born June 5, 1973) is an American theater actor and singer. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Salamanca, a small Native American reservation town near Buffalo. Lee's father, a surgeon, set up his practice there, making their family the only Asian American family in town. He played violin and piano and performed in the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra. Lee studied psychology at Stanford University and sang with the Stanford Fleet Street Singers. In 1995, he began his career by joining the second national tour of Miss Saigon. He later joined the Broadway productions of Miss Saigon, Jesus Christ Superstar, Pacific Overtures, and Rent. From 2015 to 2016, Lee starred in the Broadway musical Allegiance.
