Michael Muhney is an American actor, born on June 12, 1975, in Chicago. He is best known for his roles as Sheriff Don Lamb on the television series Veronica Mars from 2004 to 2007 and as Adam Newman on the soap opera The Young and the Restless from 2009 to 2014. Muhney grew up in Euless, Texas, and attended Trinity High School where he won the state championship for his One-Act play performance. He later obtained a bachelor's degree from The Theatre School at DePaul University in 1997. Muhney is a member of Mensa and is fluent in German and American Sign Language (ASL).
