Michael O'Keefe Biography
Michael O'Keefe, born Raymond Peter O'Keefe Jr. on April 24, 1955, is an American actor known for his roles in various movies and TV shows. He gained recognition for portraying Danny Noonan in the comedy film Caddyshack. Another notable performance was as Ben Meechum in The Great Santini, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. O'Keefe also appeared as Darryl Palmer in the Neil Simon movie The Slugger's Wife. On television, he played the character Fred in the sitcom Roseanne from 1993 to 1995. O'Keefe was born in Mount Vernon, New York, and raised in Larchmont. He graduated from Mamaroneck High School and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and New York University. He also holds an MFA in creative writing from Bennington College.
