Michael Raymond-James (born Michael Weverstad; December 24, 1977) is an American actor. He gained recognition for his role as René Lenier in the first season of HBO's True Blood. He also portrayed Britt Pollack on the FX series Terriers, Neal Cassidy/Baelfire on ABC's Once Upon a Time, and Mitch Longo on CBS All Access' Tell Me a Story. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Raymond-James graduated from Clarkston High School in 1996, where he excelled in football and track. He began his career in theater and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. He has made guest appearances in popular TV shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Medium, Boston Legal, ER, and Lie to Me.
