Michael John Rupert is an American actor, singer, director, and composer born on October 23, 1951, in Denver, Colorado. He made his Broadway debut in 1968 at the age of 16 in the musical The Happy Time. His performance as Bibi Bonnard earned him a Tony Award nomination and the Theater World Award. Rupert is best known for originating the role of 'Marvin' in the William Finn musicals March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland. Throughout his career, he has been nominated for and received several Tony and Drama Desk awards. In addition to his work on stage, Rupert has also appeared in the Disney film The Com.
