Michael Herbert Schur (born October 29, 1975) is an American television producer, writer, director, and actor. He is best known for his work on popular comedy series such as The Office, Parks and Recreation, The Good Place, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Schur co-created Parks and Recreation with Greg Daniels and has also been a producer on the series Master of None. In addition to his behind-the-scenes work, Schur has acted in shows like The Office, where he played the character Mose Schrute. He is one of the co-creators of the Peacock comedy series Rutherford Falls. Schur's comedies are known for their large, diverse casts and their optimistic and heartfelt storytelling. He has been nominated for 19 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning two for his work on Saturday Night Live and The Office.
