Michael Waxman Biography
Michael Waxman is an American director and producer of film and television. He is best known for his collaborations with film director Michael Mann and his work as a director on various TV shows. Waxman was raised in Brooklyn, New York and graduated from Brooklyn College. He began his career as an assistant director, working on films such as Manhunter (1986), When Harry Met Sally... (1989), and Rudy (1993). In 2006, Waxman joined the television series Friday Night Lights as an assistant director and eventually made his directorial debut on the show in 2008. He went on to direct eleven episodes, including the series finale. Waxman has also directed episodes of Trauma, The Event, and Prime Suspect.
