Michael Winslow Biography
Michael Leslie Winslow (born September 6, 1958) is an American actor, comedian, and beatboxer. Known as The Man of 10,000 Sound Effects, he gained fame for his ability to create realistic sounds using only his voice. Winslow is most recognized for his roles in all seven Police Academy films, where he portrayed the character Larvell Jones. He has also appeared in movies such as Spaceballs, Cheech and Chong's Next Movie, and Nice Dreams. On television, Winslow has made appearances on The Love Boat and has been featured in commercials for Cadbury and GEICO. Born in Spokane, Washington, Winslow showed an early talent for sound imitation and honed his skills performing in nightclubs and theaters before moving to Hollywood.
