Michael Yama (November 14, 1943 – July 30, 2020) was an American actor known for his work in film, television, and theater. He had a career that spanned over 38 years in the entertainment industry. Yama's notable roles included voicing characters in the animated series GI Joe and appearances in TV shows such as The X-Files, Just Shoot Me, Lois & Clark, and Betty White's Off Their Rockers. In film, he appeared in popular movies like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Stand and Deliver, and Down and Out in Beverly Hills. Yama also had various roles in films such as The Bad News Bears Go to Japan, Hansel and Gretel, and The Hidden. He passed away on July 30, 2020.
