Michel Gomes

Michel de Souza Gomes is a Brazilian actor born on February 4, 1989, in the Padre Miguel neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. Gomes had his first experience with theater at Talentos da Vila Vintém (TVV), a theater company he joined at the age of 10. He made his film debut in the 2002 movie Cidade de Deus, playing the character Bené. However, he gained recognition after starring in Bruno Barreto's 2008 film Última Parada 174, which was based on the true story of Sandro Barbosa do Nascimento. The film was selected as Brazil's entry for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 2009 Oscars.
