Michele Dotrice

Michele Dotrice (born September 27, 1948) is an English actress known for her role as Betty Spencer in the BBC sitcom Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, alongside Michael Crawford. She played the long-suffering wife of Frank Spencer from 1973 to 1978, and returned for a special in 2016. Dotrice began her career with notable roles in the 1962 BBC TV adaptation of The Old Curiosity Shop and the 1966 film The Witches. In the 1970s, she appeared in horror thrillers And Soon the Darkness (1970) and The Blood on Satan's Claw (1970), as well as Jane Eyre (1970) and the comedy Not Now, Comrade (1976). She reprised her role in Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em for the 2016 Sport Relief charity fundraiser event.
