Michelle Hendley

Michelle Hendley (born March 23, 1991) is an American actress and YouTube personality. She gained recognition for her role as Ricky in the 2014 film Boy Meets Girl. Hendley was discovered by filmmaker Eric Schaeffer, who was searching for a transgender actress to play the lead role in the movie. Schaeffer came across Hendley's YouTube video blog where she had been documenting her transition. Impressed by her videos, Schaeffer reached out to Hendley to discuss the role. Despite not previously pursuing a career in acting, Hendley was convinced to take on the opportunity after reading the script and discussing the project with the director.
