Michelle Hurd

Michelle Hurd (born December 21, 1966) is an American actress best known for her work in television. She gained recognition for her role as Monique Jeffries in the police procedural series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999–2001). Hurd has also starred in various other TV shows including Leap Years (2001), The Glades (2010–2013), Ash vs Evil Dead (2016), Blindspot (2015–2018), and Star Trek: Picard (2020–2023). Born into a family of actors, her father is Hugh Hurd and her mother, Merlyn Hurd, is an actress and clinical psychologist. Hurd graduated from Saint Ann's School in 1984, Boston University in 1988, and studied at the Alvin Ailey School and London's National Theatre.
