Mika Boorem Biography
Mika Sue Boorem (born August 18, 1987) is an American actress and filmmaker. She began her career as a child actress, appearing on television in small guest roles on Touched by an Angel and Ally McBeal. Boorem gained critical acclaim for her performance in The Education of Little Tree (1997), and went on to have supporting roles in films such as Jack Frost and Mighty Joe Young (both 1998). She had a lead role in the drama Hearts in Atlantis (2001), alongside Anton Yelchin and Anthony Hopkins. Boorem also appeared in The Patriot (2000), Along Came a Spider (2001), and starred in teen films like Blue Crush (2002) and Sleepover (2004). She had a recurring guest role on Dawson's Creek and played a central role in The Ward (2010), directed by John Carpenter.
