Mike Castle

Mike Castle, born on July 2, 1939, is an American lawyer and politician. He served as the 69th Governor of Delaware from 1985 to 1992 and as the U.S. representative from Delaware's at-large congressional district from 1993 to 2011. Castle, a member of the Republican Party, holds the distinction of being the longest-serving U.S. Representative in the state's history. Prior to his congressional career, he served in the Delaware General Assembly as both a member of the State House of Representatives and the State Senate. Castle also held the positions of lieutenant governor of Delaware from 1981 to 1985 and governor of Delaware from 1985 to 1992. He has made significant contributions to Delaware's political landscape.
