Mike Hagerty (May 10, 1954 – May 5, 2022) was an American actor known for his portrayal of comedic blue-collar workers. He gained recognition for his recurring roles as Mr. Treeger, the building superintendent, on the TV show Friends, and as the manager of a muffler shop on HBO's Lucky Louie. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 10, 1954, Hagerty completed his primary education at St. Cajetan Elementary School before attending Marist High School. He later studied acting at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to pursuing acting, Hagerty worked at a restaurant and a gas station. He began his acting career with The Second City improv group, where he co-wrote and co-starred in several revues during the 1980s.
