Mike Pence
Michael Richard Pence, born on June 7, 1959, is an American politician who served as the 48th vice president of the United States from 2017 to 2021 under Donald Trump. Prior to his vice presidency, Pence was the 50th governor of Indiana from 2013 to 2017. He is a member of the Republican Party. Pence graduated from Hanover College and the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law before pursuing a career in private practice. He initially worked as an attorney and had unsuccessful bids for the U.S. House of Representatives in 1988 and 1990. Pence is also known for his conservative radio and television talk show hosting from 1994 to 1999. He successfully won a seat in the House in 2000 and represented Indiana's 2nd congressional district from 2001 to 2003 and Indiana's 6th congressional district from 2003 to 2013. Pence chaired the Republican Study Committee from 2005 to 2007 and the House Republican Conference from 2009 to 2011. In addition, he narrowly won the Indiana gubernatorial election in 2012.
