    Mike Shinoda Biography
    Michael Kenji Shinoda (born February 11, 1977) is an American musician, singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as the co-founder of the rock band Linkin Park, where he serves as the co-lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, primary songwriter, and producer. Shinoda also created a hip-hop-driven side project called Fort Minor in 2004. He has produced tracks and albums for various artists including Lupe Fiasco, Styles of Beyond, and the X-Ecutioners. In addition to his musical endeavors, Shinoda is the co-founder of Machine Shop Records, a California-based record label. Born in Panorama City, Los Angeles, he was raised in Agoura Hills, California. Shinoda formed Linkin Park with his high school friends in 1996, and the band gained worldwide recognition after signing with Warner Bros Records.
